give us a sense, how tense is the situation this morning? >> reporter: well, it's as tense as it has been since the sit ins began and the government was promising it was going to disperse them. we are seeing the opposite when it comes to the determination of those demonstrators. the government is saying it already has a plan in place, troops are on stand by and it's trying to find a political way to navigate itself out of the situation. it's proving to be difficult. the pro-morsi demonstrators are so hardened in their demand that the former president be reinstated. it's a nonstarter to begin with. they are arriving, families arriving by the bus load every single night. we are seeing the various sit in sights, barricades made of bricks, sandbags, piles of rocks at the entrances for people to defend themselves. they say they want to continue to remain peaceful. the great concern is the potential for bloodshed that exists. that is what's holding back any sort of action to dispurse the demonstrators. it's very much a waiting game right now. >> i
